Ferry System

The Washington State Ferry system is the largest passenger and auto ferry network in the United States, and services over 25 million customers each year. Plan to arrive at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure a place on the first come, first served ferries.

Airports

With allmost 29,000,000 passengers in 2004 alone, SeaTac is the 16th busiest commercial airport in the United States and encourages you to acquire a map of the airport before you arrive. Serviced by all major airlines, you should be able to book a flight into SeaTac from just about anywhere, at just about anytime. Seatac is located south of downtown Seattle and can be accessed via I-5.

Basic Directions

Tacoma, just over 30 miles south of Seattle, can be reached by car on I-5. Various other State and U.S. Highways also funnel into and out of town and allow you to reach some of the more remote Washington destinations such as the northern Cascade Range and Olympic Peninsula.
