Description

This trail begins on Road 2324.063. It climbs steeply through a dense forest before breaking out onto an open ridge east of Sunrise Peak. This trail connects with Trail No. 261 in a large saddle. A short, but steep, spur trail (Sunrise Peak Trail No. 261A) continues to the summit. Watch for mountain goats as you hike. Trail No. 262A is a 0.5 mile connector trail that forms a loop in this system.
