Climate
Coeur d'Alene is located at a high latitude near the Canadian border, but the climate is tempered somewhat by the large lake. Summer temperatures are pleasant and perfect for sunbathing. Frequent afternoon showers help cool down vacationers. Winter receives moderate snowfall – about 50 inches annually – but rarely enough to cause problems.
