The San Juan Islands boasts a long list of  attractions that are unique to this corner of the Puget Sound, whether your interest lies in natural vistas or cultural pursuits.

A number of state and local parks can be found throughout the 700 islands that make up the San Juan Islands, offering up  secluded pebble beaches, cliff side trails, and pristine old-growth forests.

Historically, San Juan Island was the location of the US / Great Britain border in 1859, and there are a variety of associated historic sites on San Juan Island. In addition to lighthouses, community theaters and modest museums,  art galleries abound, a reflection of the thriving arts-oriented populous that call this part of the Puget Sound home.
