Description
Woods Creek Trail loops through five habitat areas, offering hikers an opportunity to learn about wildlife and the habitat different species need. The trail passes through a mixed hardwood conifer forest, breaks into the bright openness of a meadow, follows a beaver pond and enters a hardwood forest that is a burst of color in the fall. This trail was built to barrier free standards by volunteers. It is 4 feet wide with compacted gravel surfacing.
For a longer hike, continue on the Old growth Loop Trail No. 247A. Trail guides are available at the trailhead. Environmental Education Lab Packs can be borrowed from the Randle Ranger District.
