Description
After a 3-mile hike from Road 5601, the trail climbs a ridge, offering views of the Goat Rocks, Rainier, Tongue Mountain and Juniper Ridge. The trail follows Road 2328 for 1.5 miles before descending to Road 2322. (Watch for vehicles on Road 2328.)
This trail appears to have been used extensively by Yakama Indians as they traveled from berry picking camps near Olallie, Takhlakh and Chain of Lakes to fishing camps along the Cispus River. They would peel bark off cedar trees to make baskets. A group of these peeled cedar trees can be seen along the trail.
