Description
This trail begins on Road 5603.042 and follows an old road for a short distance, offering views of Mt. Adams. The trail passes through an open conifer forest, then breaks into semiopen meadows with more views of Adams. The trail joins with Green Mountain Trail No. 110 before ending at its junction with Trail No. 116.
Spring Creek Trail is believed to have been an Indian travel route between berry picking camps at Horseshoe Lake and fishing sites along the Cispus River. Several peeled cedar trees can be seen near the trailhead. Look for rectangular scars in the bark. Indians used these pieces of bark to make baskets for berry picking.
