Nestled deep in ancient canyons of the John Day River, Service Creek Stage Stop is a travelers' oasis. With a key to the past we offer rest for the weary traveler and a haven for the intrepid explorer.
The house, once a 1920's boarding house, is located on twenty-six acres across Service Creek from the old livery barn. It is now a six room, six bath, lodge catering to individuals, families, and groups. The store, restaurant, and raft rental businesses are next door on the site of the original Service Creek post office.
The store carries groceries, beverages, camping and fishing supplies, and rafting accessories. The restaurant features a full menu with hand cut New York steaks, hamburgers, locally grown produce, homemade soups and desserts, and daily specials. The raft rental business provides you with a variety of watercraft for your adventures on the river. For your convenience, we will shuttle your vehicle from your put in spot to your take out destination. Guided fishing, rafting, and eco-tour trips are also available.
