Description

The Lodge Trail provides access primarily for guests staying atthe Lake Quinault Lodge to hike the QuinaultNational Recreation Trail #854. The Lodge Trailbegins across from the Lodge entrance. The trailis only 0.6 mile in length. The Lodge Trailjunctions with the Quinault National RecreationTrail. The Lodge Trails provides a short hike tosee the rain forest and is a good short hike forchildren. The Quinault National Recreation Trailprovides a 4-mile loop hike through the rainforest and along the south shore Quinault Lakebefore returning to the Lodge.

The trailhead is across the SouthShore Quinault Road from the entrance to LakeQuinault Lodge. Parking only, no facilities.

Dense old-growth confer forestwith lush understory of rain forest vegetation.

The Lodge Trail providesan excellent opportunity to view the Olympic’stemperate rain forest. This trail provides accessto the Quinault National Recreation Trail fromthe Lodge. Excellent opportunities for hikingwith children, viewing rain forest scenery, birdwatching and nature study.

Motorized vehicles, mountainbikes, and stock are prohibited.
