Description

From Corral Pass, this trail passes through silver fir forests and open sub alpine parkland for 4 miles to Noble Knob. From here you can see alpine wildflowers and outstanding views of Norse Peak Wilderness and the northern mountain ranges.

The Noble Knob Tail leaves from Corral Pass and is part trail, part abandoned road. At mile point 1.5 is a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier. At mile point 1.8 is a junction with Deep Creek Trail No. 1196. The trail enters the Norse Peak Wilderness at mile point 2.7. and leaves the wilderness at mile point 2.8. There are several junctions with other trails: mile point 2.9 with Dalles Ridge Trail No. 1173, mile point 3.0 with Lost Lake Trail No. 1185 and mile point 4.0 with spur trail to George Lake. At mile point 5.0 the trail crosses a road switchback and resumes on left side. At mile point 5.6 the trail crosses Road No. 7222610. There is a junction with Road No. 7222410 at mile point 6.4. Follow the road heading to your right for 150 ft. to the junction with Road No. 7222510. Follow for 0.6 miles to trail junction on left. At mile point 7.6 the trail crosses Road No. 7222210. Trail ends at mile point 7.9 on Road No. 72.

Basic Directions

Drive east on State Highway 410 from Enumclaw 31.6 miles to Corral Pass Road #7174. Turn left (east) on Road #7174 and follow it 6.7 miles. Trailhead is on left side of road just before the large developed parking area. Small parking area at trailhead can hold up to 6 vehicles. From trailhead 0.1 mile up Road #7174 are 20 parking spaces, horse ramp, hitch rack and pit toilet.

Drive east on State Highway 410 from Enumclaw 20.3 miles to the Greenwater Road #70. Turn left (north) onto Road #70 and follow it 4.6 miles to Road #72. Turn right (south) onto Road #72 and follow for 4.1 miles to trailhead on the left side of the road. There is room for parking on right road shoulder for 4 vehicles.
