Description
Trail 474 once was loop trail that skirted Wildcat Mountain and followed Eureka Creek, now maintained only to junction 474A then to Ferguson Lake. Trail 474A leaves the main trail and travels up an open avalanche chute then sidehills around to Ferguson Lake, lying in a cirque of Wildcat Mountain.
Good views of the Middle Fork and Slate Peak areas.
This trail is steep and rocky in sections. Few campsites, very limited grazing. Pack feed and keep stock and camps at least 200 feet from lake.
