Description
Diamond Jack Trail leaves Larch Creek Trail just south of Diamond Creek and ascends Diamond Creek Valley in timber and climbs to 7100 feet pass before descending into the Fox Creek drainage (also in timber) to the junction with the Lake Creek Trail No. 504.
Very scenic areas near the pass. Two lakes nearby via cross-country routes. A short trail to the ridge north of the pass leads to the top of Diamond Point, an old lookout site with big views of the Ashnola drainage.
This trail should be considered difficult for stock due to rocky tread and several difficult stream crossings. East of the Pass, Fox Creek and the Lake Creek trail often impassable with stock
Tread may be difficult to follow in the area of the pass.
Wilderness use restrictions apply.
Northwest Forest Pass required.
