Description
A main east-west trail in the western Pasayten connecting Ross Lake and the Pacific Crest Trail. The trail is mostly side hill, some of it at or above timberline.
Some side trips and loop trips are possible using this trail. Besides the Pacific Crest Trail, this trail can be reached via Chancellor Trail No. 754 and Jackita Ridge Trail No. 738. Many open areas along this trail offers big views of Baker, Hozomeen, and Jack Mountain. Good grazing is available near Skypilot Pass, Devil's Pass, and along Devil's Ridge.
Water can be scarce late in the season.
Those wishing to continue their trip on the East Bank Trail should be aware that the park requires backcountry permits for overnight camping. Permits are available at the Methow Valley Visitor Center and the park service visitor information center in Marblemount.
Wilderness use restrictions apply.
Northwest Forest Pass required.
