Description
The campground has potable water, a barrier-free flush toilet, and a boat ramp. There are 19 campsites that accommodate tents, trailers and RV’s up to 20 feet; 2 walk-in tent sites, and 10 overflow RV sites for vehicles up to 32 feet in length.
Willaby Campground is located on the south shore of Quinault in the beautiful temperate rain forest. Towering conifers including Sitka spruce, Douglas-fir, western hemlock and western red cedar provide dense shade for this beautiful setting. The forest floor is covered with lush rain forest plants including moss, ferns, false lily-of-the-valley and oxalis. The forested slopes of the Olympic National Park provide a scenic backdrop across the Quinault Lake.

Boating, swimming and sailing are available on Quinault Lake. The Lake is part of the Quinault Indian Nation and is closed to fishing. The 7.3 mile long Colonel Bob Trail #851 provides access to the summit of Colonel Bob in the Colonel Bob Wilderness where scenic views of Quinault Lake can be enjoyed. The Quinault National Recreation Trail is a wonderful trail to see the lush vegetation of the temperate rain forest. Several trail loops provide hiking opportunities that can be accessed along the South Shore Road including Willaby Campground. A free trail map is available at FS Quinault office.
