Description

Lena Lake Trail No. 810 to the Upper Lena Lake Trail is well maintainedand has moderate grades with long switchbacks.

Please stay on the trail. Cutting switchbacks willsave only seconds, while the destroyed vegetationwill take years to recover. The Upper Lena LakeTrail is steep and receives less maintenance thanthe Lena Lake Trail No. 810.

Trailhead with parking area oneach side of the road, trail registers, accessiblevault toilet. 28 campsites, fire rings and acomposting toilet at Lena Lake.

Forested second growth to oldgrowth forest, alpine meadows and two beautifullakes; Lena Lake at 1,800 feet in the NationalForest and Upper Lena Lake at 4,550 feet in the National Park.

Hiking, backpacking,camping, viewing scenery, fishing, bird andwildlife watching.

Motorized vehicles, mountainbicycles and stock are prohibited.

Travel Highway 101 to FS Road #25(Hamma Hamma Recreation Area) 14 miles northof Hoodsport. Drive 8 miles to the Lena LakeTrailhead. Hike Lena Lake Trail for 3 miles to thejunction with the Upper Lena Lake Trail.
