Whidbey Island - Fishing

Fishing is great year round in and around the Puget Sound, however the majority of species are available and withing regulation from mid summer through early winter. Salmon, Cod, and Halibut are plentiful in the area, and Steelhead and trout can be found in island inlets and channels. Fly fishing the beaches and streams will show some success, but most come for the saltwater sport fishing.

No experience is necessary to fish around Whidbey Island, the San Juan Islands, and across the Puget Sound, just a experienced guide and chartered boat. Luckily, professional boating and fishing guides are as plentiful on Whidbey Island and in Anacortes as the fish themselves.

Fishing guides and outfitters that lead guided fishing trips and/or rent fishing equipment in and near Whidbey Island are listed below. Click on any name for more information.
