Olympic National Park - Hiking

Olympic National Park has the trails, whether you
want one less traveled or a paved interpretative trail. Backpack
further into the interior by linking several shorter trails. Walk the
beach west of the park if you want open views of the ocean, or climb
up to glacial lakes for a more strenuous hike.
Olympic National Park has several distinct geographic areas, and
each offers a different type of hiking. The Pacific coast tends to be
rugged rocks or pebbles, but much of it is passable by foot, and
on-beach primitive camping is allowed. The temperate rainforest is
lush and wet, with gigantic trees and overgrown streams. Up the
mountains, it can be drier, and hikers can expect sub alpine meadows
bursting with wildflowers, glaciers, and mountain peaks.
