Description

There are 29 campsites that will accommodate tents. Fire rings and a compost toilet are available at the campground. Please pack out your garbage and leave a clean campsite. NOTICE - Potable water is not provided. Treat all water from lake or streams before drinking or used for cooking.

This campground is only accessible by trail. It is located along the west-shore of Lena Lake, a large 55 acre lake nestled among rugged peaks in the Hamma Hamma Drainage. The campground is at 1,800 feet elevation so check on current conditions before driving to trailhead.

Backcountry camping, hiking, mountain climbing, fishing, picnicking, viewing backcountry scenery and lake swimming are available in the area. Trails from Lena Lake Campground extend to Upper Lena Lake (ONP) and into The Brothers Wilderness. Putvin and Mildred Lakes’ trailheads are located on FS Road #25, several miles west of Lena Lake Trailhead. Practice LEAVE NO TRACE techniques during your trip.
