Brown Creek Campground

There are 20 campsites in Brown Creek Campground: twelve will accommodate trailers and RVs up to 20 feet in length and eight of the sites are suitable for tents. Well water, tables, fire rings, and vault toilets are available. Please pack out your garbage and leave a clean campsite. The campground has been moved out of the riparian zone and the former campground is a day use area.

Campground is located along the shore of the South Fork Skokomish River at the confluence with Brown Creek. Evergreen conifers and hardwoods provide lots of shade at this campground.

 Some More Things to Know

Hiking, camping, fishing, and opportunities to view wildlife are available in the area. The Lower South Fork Skokomish Trail #873 is located off of FS Rd. 2353 near LeBar Horse Camp. The Upper South Fork Skokomish Trail #873.1 is located at the end of FS Rd, #2361. The Brown Creek Nature Loop Trail #877 is a short, family oriented hike around a beaver pond beginning near the campground well.



 Directions

From US Highway 101 turn west onto the Skokomish Valley Road (6 miles north of Shelton and 7 miles south of Hoodsport), drive west on the Skokomish Valley Road from the George Adams State Fish Hatchery for about 5 miles to FS Road No.23. Turn right onto FS No.23 and drive 9.0 miles to FS Road No.2353. Turn right onto FS No.2353 and drive approximately ¾ mile to the South Fork Skokomish River Bridge. Cross the bridge and make a sharp turn to the right onto FS Road No.2340. Brown Creek Campground is located ¼ mile beyond this point.
