Blue Lake Butte Trail - No. 119

This trail climbs steadily from Road 78 for 1 mile to a semiopen ridgetop where Adams and Hamilton Buttes can be seen. The trail continues to the junction with the more heavily used Blue Lake Ridge Trail No. 271 near Blue Lake.

The Blue Lake Butte Trail can be found on a 1917 Forest map. The trail was most likely built by sheepherders grazing their flocks through the area in the early 1900s.
