Bellingham - Boating

While there are plenty of ways to stay dry in Bellingham, visitors are often after ways to get wet. Head north to Alaska on the Alaska Marine Highway (not a daytrip), or visit nearby islands on the local ferry system, watching for orcas and whales. If you need to be captain of your own ship, rent a kayak for the budget option, or splurge on a few nights yacht-side. Lakes inland offer calmer waters, trafficked by paddle-boats, swimmers and resident ducks.
