Atlantic Coast Cruise Vacations

The East Coast of the United States is home to many of America’s largest and most interesting cities. New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina are a few ports of call you may be able to visit.

Most East Coast cruises are part of longer cruises that take in Canada and New England states during the Fall change of colors, or are part of more southern cruises that also venture to Bermuda and the Bahamas. See, respectively, Canada / New England Cruises, Bermuda Cruises, and Bahamas Cruises for more details on those trips.

Only a few cruise lines offer trips that are categorized as East Coast cruises. Total cruises in a year may number 5 to 8. Some of these are repositioning cruises where a cruise line repositions it ship from a northern route to a Caribbean route as winter approaches, or vice versa in spring. Cunard runs its Queen Mary 2 on several short cruises departing from New York.

Season / Trip Lengths / Departure Ports

East Coast cruises are offered from Spring to Fall with Fall being the most popular time. Departure ports include New York, Quebec City, and Fort Lauderdale. Trips vary in length from 4 to 14 nights.
